Self Care Saturday: Journaling

Hey Sis, Do you have a lot on your mind? Do you have feelings that need to be expressed that you like to be kept just between you and God? Do you need a way to track your progress in a certain area of your life?

Journaling can be apart of your self care routine. I can tell you from experience that being able to write down my thoughts and later go back and see my growth or how God brought me through a certain situation has been mind blowing.

I have used journaling for my creative thoughts, my spiritual journey and for work. When I was on a mission to lose weight I also had a food journal.

I was recommended by my doctor to keep a sleep journal for my insomnia and a family member of mine was told to keep a journal for their anxiety. For each situation it was a way to track triggers, good days, bad days, etc.

As you can see a journal can be kept for anything. If you need a way to document your thoughts, ideas and creativity try journaling.

Pick up your ink pen and notebook, and let your thoughts flow. You will be amazed to see how refreshing it can be for your mind, body, and soul.
